The ARIA landscape is conceived as a developing narrative, journeying between two worlds; from an endemic local landscape into a hidden sub-tropical garden ‘heart’
Swanborne, Western Australia
Following local guidelines, the periphery includes a dense carpet of endemic planting, populated by groupings of native trees which providing a filtered screen for residents.
A sculptural tree to the entrance signals a changing landscape within. Visible from the foyer and adjacent boardwalk, a sub-tropical landscape provides a setting for the communal facilities and pool deck. A landscape covered wall adjacent to the boardwalk screens a hidden garden for the Yoga Pavilion behind.
Roof gardens with native plantings are provided to all the communal pavilions.
